In some cases airline prices can be up to 2,000 pounds more expensive if renting a people carrier for two weeks during the school holidays this summer.
Even for economy cars, travelers can end up paying as much as 567 pounds more if they book with airlines suggested suppliers. Airlines that offer some of the most competitive airfares to European and British travelers also offer the most competitive car hire pricing. Yet these prices are still above what is available to travelers who book their car hire independently. The airlines often suggest that they are offering passengers a preferential deal on car hire, but research reveals that the opposite is true.
